Candle Care
At Rooster & Rooster, we take pride in our candles and want you to get the best experience possible from them. To achieve this, we've put together a few simple rules for you to follow.
When you first light your candle, it's crucial to let the surface melt completely from edge to edge. This can take around 2-3 hours and will result in a more even burn in the future. Subsequent burns should be a minimum of 2 hours and no more than 4 hours. To prevent smoke, ensure your candle is in a well-ventilated and draft-free location.
To keep your candle burning smoothly, it's important to trim the wick to about 5mm before lighting it each time. You can use a wick cutter, nail clippers or just pinch off the burnt bit of the wick. Removing any residue before lighting the candle is important. If you notice a flame that's too big, simply trim the wick further.
When it comes to extinguishing your candle, blowing it out could damage the wick and drop carbon into the wax. The best way is to use a snuffer. Please don't leave your candles unattended, and keep them away from children and pets. After all, wax for children is usually crayons, and the smell of burning fur won't add to the ambiance!
Remember to always place your candle on a heat-resistant base and set it on a level, stable surface. It's not difficult to take care of your Rooo-Star Candle, and following these simple steps will help you to enjoy it for longer. There you are, It’s not that difficult is it….
